AQSIQ to lift ban on live shrimp imports from Vietnam

   

   

   

China's Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) has officially lifted the ban on Vietnamese live shrimp imports recently. Vietnamese enterprises can now resume live shrimp exports to China according to international trades.

   

   

China had suspended imports of live shrimp from Vietnamsince February 5, 2015, after it detected pathogenic virus in the shrimps. Since then, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce has advised enterprises and farmers to improve on the quality of shrimp exports, and strengthen the supervision of food hygiene and safety.
